Wednesday, December 7 - Book Fair shopping - send in money if your child can purchase items,  Mother / Daughter Book Club - 6pm in the library. 

Friday, December 9 - Last day for Book Fair and Food Drive

Wednesday, December 14 - School Wide Pajama Day. Your child will also need a scarf and sunglasses for our sing-a-long. This is for students and staff only. Thanks for understanding:)

 

What are we learning?

Math - How do I divide with decimals?

Science - What have I learned about matter?

·         Test is this Thursday; study guide is going home today.

Social Studies - What was the culture, geography, and economy of my colonial region?

·         Students will present their Colonial Billboard projects to the class.

·         We will begin to investigate slavery in the Southern Colonies.

ELA Writing - How do I support my thesis statement?

·         Students will continue to write their essays for the contest - "Why my grandparent should be AARP Grandparent of the Year!"

ELA Reading - What is the main idea?

·         During read aloud of Sisters Grimm, students determine the main idea of each chapter.

ELA Reading - How do I participate in a literature circle?

·         Students are reading a BOB book and meeting in small groups to discuss the book. 

·         They are in charge of one of the following: leader, summarizer, word wizard, questioner, illustrator,  (roles rotate).

·         Additionally, they share a daily thoughts that they have written.
